Manuel Villegas, Jr, 59, of Sterling, died Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at Rockford Memorial. Manuel was born December 16, 1955 in Donna, TX, the son of Manuel and Maria (Morua) Villegas. Manuel was an avid Bears, Bulls, and Cubs fan, he also enjoyed listening to the Beatles. He was always outgoing, caring and loving towards all his family and friends. Survivors include one daughter, Jamie Villegas of Sterling; one sister, Carmen (Joe Garza, Sr.) Villegas of Sterling; one brother, Evaristo Villegas of Dixon; one brother-in-law-Don Olalde of Sterling; special nieces Lolly (Eric Rascon) Olalde of Wyoming, and Angie (John)Williamson of Sterling; special sister-in-laws, Kellie (Denny) Schroeder of Sterling and Lory Moore of Salem, Oregon several nieces and nephews. Manuel was preceded in death by one son, John Paul Villegas; sister, Mary Olalde and two brothers, Johnny Villegas and Miguel Villegas. Funeral services will be held at 12:30 PM Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling, with Matt Howzee, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 10AM-12:15, prior to funeral services at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to schillingfuneralhome.com.
