Elsie Houck, 90, of Sterling, died Tuesday, April 19, 2016 at Sterling Pavilion.
Elsie was born October 23, 1925 in Kimball, SD the daughter of John and Louise (Plus) Meier. She married Wilmer Houck on June 22, 1946 in Rock Falls. She was an 86 year member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rock Falls.
Survivors include her husband, Wilmer L. Houck of Sterling; one daughter, Marilyn (Kent) Stralow of Morrison; two sons, Wilmer and Duane Houck, both of Sterling; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter-in-law, Julie Houck; granddaughter, Maggie Houck and two sisters, Francis Manon and Marie Airgood.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Friday, April 22, 2016 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Rock Falls with the Reverend Vickie Sauter, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Dixon. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Friday, prior to services at the church.
A memorial has been established.
