Robert Czuprynski, 85, died Friday June 3, 2016 at CGH Medical Center. Robert was born January 8, 1931 in Chicago, the son of Wallace and Laura Czuprynski. He married Vada Meyer on July 3, 1955 in Sterling. Robert is a member of Messiah Evangelical Luthern Church and past Commander of the Sterling American Legion. Robert served in the US Navy from 1951 to 1955. He was a general foreman at North Western Steel & Wire for 38 years until his retirement. Survivors include his wife Vada, one daughter Jane Elizabeth (Curt) Adams of Sterling; three sons Thomas (Jacqueline) of Bartlet, James R. (Karen) of Forsythe and Christoper Czuprynski; one brother Richard (Marlyn) Czuprynski of FL; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by two sisters Helen Rick and Charlotte Shaheen. Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday June 10, 2016 at Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church at 1601 Avenue F in Sterling, with Reverend Daniel Beemlander officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5PM to 8PM at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation. Burial with Military Honors will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Luncheon will follow after burial at the Sterling Legion 601 1st Avenue, Sterling IL. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com
