Obituary of Barbara Ann Folsom

STERLING- Barbara Ann Folsom, 67, of Sterling died Saturday, October 29, 2016 at CGH Medical Center. Barbara was born March 16, 1949, in Morrison, the daughter of Kenneth and Gladys (Bachman) Reynolds. Barb truly enjoyed the life that God blessed her with. She was a talented cake decorator who worked at McCaslins in Sterling for 36 years and then continued practicing her craft at Folsom's Bakery for another 9 years before retiring. She touched many lives with her loving and caring spirit, but above all she loved her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She made everyone she met feel valued. She truly was a special woman who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Sterling, and an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan. Survivors include two sons J.J. (Tennille) Folsom Jr. of Sterling, and Jason (Stephanie) Folsom of Erie; One Brother Dick (Pam) Reynolds of Clinton IA; Three Sister-in-laws Evelyn Reynolds of Sterling, Rhonda (Dale) Tompkins of Prophetstown, and Karen (Darrell) Erickson of Rock Falls; Ten Grandchildren Brian Folsom, Bailey Folsom, Taylor Folsom, Bryce Folsom, Brandon Hall, Bryan Hall, Blake Hall, Bradley, Braedyn, BryLynn Appenzeller; one great-grandchild Braxton Hall; and several Nieces and Nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her Parents; One Brother Kenny Reynolds; and One Nephew Carl Reynolds. A Memorial Service will be held 10 AM Friday November 4th, 2016, at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, burial will take place following the Memorial Service at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling, with the Reverend Terry Green of Erie Christian Church, officiating.
