Obituary of Timothy R. Burks

STERLING- Timothy Burks, 49, of Indian Ridge, died Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at his home. Timothy was born March 6, 1967 in Clinton, IA, the son of Patricia E. (Carew) and Earl Burks. He married Brandi King on November 21, 1992 in Rock Falls. Survivors include his wife, Brandi; two daughters, Halie Burks of Joplin, MO, and Jayla Burks, of Sterling; two sons, Drey and Timothy J. Burks, both of Sterling; a brother George (Angela) Burks of Sterling; a brother Robert (Barb) Burks of Lyndon; a sister Roberta (William) Dean of Sterling; a brother William (Lisa) Burks of Sterling, a brother Kevin (Rhonda) Burks of Sterling; and one grandchild. He was preceded in death by his Maternal and Paternal grandparents; Parents Earl “Doc” and Patricia Burks; and Uncle Bill Rhodes. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM Saturday, November 26, 2016 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling with Curt House, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 9:30-11:30 AM, Saturday, prior to services at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to his surviving children.
