Obituary of Ruth M. Klocke

Ruth M. Klocke, 95, of Sterling passed away peacefully December 10, 2016 at Regency Care of Sterling, surrounded by her family. Ruth was born August 6, 1921 in Rock Falls, the daughter of Clarence and Lena (Dietz) McCarthy. She married Albert Klocke on April 5, 1942 at Ft. Leonard Wood, Mo. After WWII, Ruth and Al owned S&K Men’s Clothing, together with John and Margaret Sumption, until 1986. Together they had three children Philip (Anita) Klocke, of Ames IA, Jeffrey (Marilyn) Klocke of Rock Falls, and Kristine (Stephen) Arduini of Sterling. She was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Rock Falls. Ruth and her family enjoyed many summers together on the Rock River. She will be greatly missed by everyone blessed enough to know her. She leaves behind one son, Jeffrey; a daughter, Kristine; six grandchildren. Karin (Patrick) Chitty, Christopher (Andrea) Klocke, and Jane (Jace) Woodley; All of Ames, IA, Nichole (Rafael) Rodriguez of Macomb, Il, Kiel (Elizabeth) Arduini of Sterling, and Natalie (Adam) Graham of St. Louis, Mo., and 10 great grandchildren. Ruth was proceeded in death by her parents; her husband Al; one son Philip; her sister, Genevieve Enright and one great granddaughter. Funeral services will be held at 11AM Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Rock Falls, with Reverend Daniel Behmlander, pastor, officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, prior to services at the church. Burial will follow at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls.
