Obituary of Gladys A. Bishop

Gladys A. Bishop, 99, of Sterling, formerly of Bloomington-Normal, died Thursday January 26, 2017. Gladys was born June 10, 1917 in Granville, the daughter of Nels P. and Eda (Anderson) Anderson. She married J. Reid Bishop on June 10, 1941 in Granville. He preceded her in death on October 13, 1971. Survivors include one daughter Dina Powers of Novato CA; three sons John R. (Frances) Bishop of Morrison, Paul (Linda) Bishop of Madison WI, and Steve (Marie) Bishop of Peoria; eight grandchildren Jeff Bishop, Jay Bishop, Rachel Bishop, Erin Bishop, Dana Bishop, Benjamin Bishop, Drew Powers and Kim Powers; and eleven great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Edna Middleton, Agnes Anderson, and Jeanne Alleman.
