STERLING-Paul “ Kenny” Cheshire Sr., 86, of Sterling, died Saturday February 25, 2017 at CGH Medical Center, in Sterling. Paul was employed at North Western Steel & Wire for 31 years until his retirement in 1983.
Paul was born December 3, 1930 in Kewanee, the son of Aubrey and Bessie (Williamson) Cheshire. He married Doris Bonnell on August 23, 1975 in Como, she preceded him in death on April 11, 2008.
Survivors include four daughters Connie Marie Kelly of Rock Falls, Janice Holcomb of Sterling, Penny (Jimmy) Brown of Walderon AR, and Karen Gossett of Boles AR; two sons Paul (Connie) Cheshire Jr. of Sterling, and Keith (Mary) of Bushnell FL; 17 Grandchildren; 40 Great Grandchildren; and 8 Great-Great Grandchildren.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister and 5 brothers.
The funeral is at 1 PM Wednesday March 1, 2017, at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling, and burial to follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Visitation is from 5PM-7PM Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, in Sterling.
