ARLENE LOOS



 

STERLING-Arlene Loos, 98, of Sterling, died Sunday, May 14, 2017 at Regency Care Center of Sterling.

     Arlene was born August 23, 1918 in Hopkins, Township, the daughter of Harry and Lena (Balster) Onken. She married Raymond Loos on September 23, 1939. He preceded her in death on November 1, 1986.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, in Sterling.

    Survivors include four sons, James (Diane) Loos of Cape Haze, FL, Arlyn Loos of Houston, TX, Edward (Patricia) Loos of Sterling and Donald (Sue) Loos of Minocqua, WI; one daughter-in-law, Arvonne Loos of Sterling; thirteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

    She was preceded in death by one son, Steve Loos; daughter-in-law, Lyna Loos and three sisters, Leona Kurth, Irma Mock and Hazel Reap.

    Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 20, 2017 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling, with Reverend Leo Patterson, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM Saturday, prior to services at the funeral home.

    A memorial has been established to Vitas Hospice.
