Obituary of Dolores G. Friday

Dolores G. Friday, 92, of Sterling, died Saturday June 3, 2017 at Morningside of Sterling.   

    Dolores was born August 28, 1924 in Hebron, the daughter of Clarence and Abigail (Paull) Gates. She married Edwin R. Friday on July 20, 1945 in Detroit, MI. He preceded her in death on September 23, 1984. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Sterling. Dolores resided in Sterling since 1945, and enjoyed her winters in Clearwater FL, since 1982. She loved playing golf, cards, high school sports, Municipal band concerts, music and dance, but most of all family, friends and FUN!

    Survivors include one daughter, Nancy Jo (Gary) Lewison of Clearwater,FL; two grandchildren, Jolee Lewison of Ashville, NC and Blake Lewison of St. Petersburg, FL, and three nieces, Jacquin Matheson of Rockton, Marcia Calendo and Cheryl Smith, of Elgin.

  She was also preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Loraine Behm and Bethel Keller.

    Funeral services will be held at 12:15 P.M. Friday June 9, 2017 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation with the Reverend Roger Carlson, of Berean Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 10:30-12:00 prior to the celebration of life.

     A memorial has been established to First Presbyterian Church of Sterling.
