STERLING- Hazel Brown, 85, of Sterling, died, Friday, December 8, 2017 at CGH Medical Center.

Hazel was born April 15, 1932 in Coleta, the daughter of Walter and Betty (Peterson) Anderson. She married Donald James Brown on January 26, 1952.

Survivors include one son, Gregory (Melinda) Brown; one daughter, Teresa (Darren Hinrichs) Brown of Sterling; one brother, Marvin (Bev) Anderson of Walnut; three sisters, Lola (Bill) Glafka of Walnut, Betty Pollock of Rock Falls, and Dorothy Brown of Sterling; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Madison, and Raegan Brown, Aubrey (Jared) Reynolds, Dylan, Dallas, and Lexi Hinrichs; three great grandchildren, Magnolia, Rowan, and Linden Reynolds.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, Leroy Anderson, Everett Anderson, Neil Anderson, and Donald Anderson; two sisters, Gen Wagner and Helen Miller.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling, with Pastor Scott Whalan officiating. Visitation will be from 1:30PM-2:30PM one hour prior to services at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.          

    A memorial has been established.
