Obituary of Kevin O'Brien

Kevin James O’Brien, 52, formerly of Sterling, passed away, Wednesday, March 14, 2018, at his home in Dixon, after a short illness.

    Kevin was born May 15, 1965 in Sterling, the son of Gerald and Patricia (Kiefer) O’Brien. He married Megan Lewis on April 18, 2017 in Dixon.

    Survivors include his mother, Patricia; his wife, Megan;one daughter, Kathleen O’Brien; one son, Kiefer O’Brien; two sisters, Kathleen (Dan) Ivy of Rock Falls, Erin (Rob) Burr of Aurora, Maine; three brothers, Kelly (Mary) O’Brien of Lawrence, Kansas, Daniel O’Brien of Rock Falls and Michael (Erin) O’Brien of Plano, TX and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald.

    A celebration of life will be from 4-7 PM Friday, March 23, 2018 at the Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling.

       A memorial has been established in his children’s name.
