Jerry Reecher

COLETA- Jerry Dwight Reecher, 75, of Coleta, passed away Thursday November 10, 2016 surrounded by his family at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA. Jerry was born July 11, 1941, in Sterling, the son of Dwight and Nona (Nicholas) Reecher. He married Nola Fullington on July 15, 1966 in Coleta. She preceded him in death on June 18, 2008. Survivors include three daughters Barbara (Greg) Majeski of Sterling, Tammy (Greg) Landes of Sterling, and Gina (Bobby) Salazar of Dixon; one sister Judy (Bob) Stringer of Sterling; four grandchildren Tori Reecher-Grennan, Dakotah Landes, Dylan Majeski, and Blake Majeski; and a special friend Sharon Dotson. He was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Nola. The funeral is at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at Coleta United Methodist Church, followed by the burial at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling. Visitation will be Tuesday November 15, 2016 from 4-7P.M. at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com.
