Adam Lerma

ROCK FALLS- Adam "Ruben" Lerma, 65, of Rock Falls, IL went to heaven on July 6, 2014. He passed away at home. He was born on February 13, 1949 in San Benito, Tx. to the late Eleuterio Lerma and Magdelena (Puentes) Lerma. He graduated from Sterling High School. Ruben worked as a physical therapist in the US Navy. He was a very patriotic man who loved his country. He had an honorable discharge with a service related injury which left him disabled. Ruben is survived by a brother Arnulfo (Role) Lerma. 8 nieces and nephews. Kimberly Lerma Weir, Ricardo Lerma, Tammy Lerma, Katrina Lerma Alexander, Roberto Cantu, Ruben Cantu and Reynaldo Cantu. A special mention to his great neices Sabrina Lerma, Okita Lerma and Sethina Lerma to whom he referred to as his little angles. He was preceded in death by both of his parents and one beloved sister Alma (Lerma) Lilly. Ruben was an animal lover especially fond of felines. He always had a smile on his face and greeted his little angels with "Good morning, honey!" He was loved and will be missed very much. Ruben didn't want anyone sad at his passing but rather to celebrate his life, and toast to him!! Salud Uncle Ruben! In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to Schilling's Funeral home.
