ANITA L. OBERG STERLING- Anita L. Oberg, 83, died Monday, March 16, 2009 at CGH Medical Center. She was a pie baker at Parkway Restaurant for many years. Anita was born July 2, 1925 in Sterling. The daughter of Roy H. and Ruth (Nice) Ebersole. She married Doug Oberg in 1947. He preceded her in death in 1980. Survivors include, three sisters, Miriam Shank of Sterling, Belva Robinson of Cave County, Oregon and Betty (Eldo) Sutter of Arizona; five brothers, Charles (Joyce) Ebersole and Robert (Wilmeta) Ebersole both of Sterling, Everette (Dorothy) Ebersole of Morrison, Eugene (Merrildean) Ebersole of Panama City, FL and Willard (Ellen) Ebersole of Wichita, KS; two half sisters Suellen (Errel) Schavin of South Bend, IN and Verna (David) Kauffman of Eureka; one half brother Roy Ebersole Jr. and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Johnson, Pauline Dickhut and Gertrude Campbell; one brother, Russell Ebersole. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, March 20, 2009 at Science Ridge Mennonite Church, Sterling, with Pastor Arnie Owens, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 PM Thursday at the Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to Science Ridge Mennonite Church.
