Arzelia Meiners

ARZELIA "BONNIE" M. MEINERS LYNDON - Arzelia "Bonnie" M. Meiners, 97, died Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Good Samaritan Center-Prophets Riverview. Arzelia was born December 7, 1912 in Little Rock, AR, the daughter of Andrew and Laura (Johnson) Snitchler. She married Glen Meiners November 25, 1932 in Maywood. They farmed for many years in the Sterling area, and then later she was employed as a line worker for GE. He preceded her in death on April 30, 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Charlotte (Chuck) Haines, of Sterling, and Reta (John) Dewey, of Hardey, AR; one daughter-in-law, Delores Meiners, of Sterling; one brother, Percy Snitchler, of Chicago; one sister, Doris Cook, of Minnesota; nine granchildren and numerous great-granchildren. She was also preceded in death by one son, Larry Meiners; one granddaughter, Vicky Meiners; 3 brothers and 6 sisters. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 20, 2010 at Schilling Funeral Home, with the Reverend Fritz Bartelt, of the East Jordan Church, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Saturday, March 20, 2010, prior to the service. A memorial has been established to the Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
