STERLING-Barbara Ann Wright, 77, died peacefully March 24, 2017 at CGH Medical Center surrounded by family. Barbara was born December 22, 1939 in La Salle to Walter and Marie (Kastner) Noonan. She married Wayne Wright on November 19, 1984. Barbara loved old movies, board games, baking and cooking with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and spending time with family. She was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. Her favorite pastime was crocheting. She taught herself from a book when she was sixteen years old and was awarded numerous blue ribbons over the years at the Illinois State Fair for her mastery of the crochet hook. The Margaret Mitchell House Museum in Atlanta displays one of her items. Survivors include her husband Wayne; one daughter JerilynTindle of Nashville; three brothers Robert (Debra) Noonan of Peru, Thomas (Susan) Noonan of Waterloo IA, John (Nancy) Noonan of Wheaton; five sisters Janice Kanady of Round Rock TX, Dorothy (Leonard) Keenan of La Salle, Marilyn (William) Van Sant of Bayfield WI, Joyce (Lawrence) Lucas of Princeton, Linda (James) Thomas of Mount Prospect; two grand-daughters Sarah (Eric) Vandersnick, and Emily (Kendall) Carr; one grandson Michael (Rachel) Little; five great-grandchildren Lauren Little, Conner Little, Sophia Vandersnick, Colin Vandersnick, and Steven Carr; two step-daughters; five step-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Eileen Bottomley and two brothers James Noonan and Richard Noonan. Cremation rites have been accorded and services will be held in the Spring in LaSalle.
