STERLING- Barry K. Fenton, 69, of Sterling died Saturday April 8, 2017 at CGH Medical Center. Barry was born November 28, 1947 in Sterling, the son of Dwight and Janet (Purdue) Fenton. He graduated from Rock Falls High School, and recently inducted into the Rock Falls High School Hall of Fame for football. At 18 years old Barry joined the United States Army in 1966 and served in Vietnam until his discharge in 1969. Barry was an avid Golfer, enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, spending time with his family, and his two dogs Princess and Buddy. Survivors include three daughters Joley Brown of Springfield, Stacey Hunsberger of Dixon, and Christina (Angel) Cruz of Geneva OH; two sons Jeff (Michele) Fenton, and Blaine Fenton both of Rock Falls; one brother Mike (Sandy) Fenton; one sister Cherri Fenton of Sterlng; one uncle Kent Fenton of TN; Thirteen Grandchildren Blake, Rylie, Leyla, Aaron, Kayla, Mariah, Seth, Audrey, Jessica, Madilyn, Brandon, and Kaydence; five great-grandchildren Ayden, Eleiana, Evelyn, Emberly, and Myla; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister Debbie Fenton. Graveside services will be held at 11AM Thursday April 13, 2017 at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls with full military rites. Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will follow burial at Tin Roof Tavern, 13464 Galt Rd, Sterling. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com
