Betty Zigler

 Betty Zigler, 99, of Sterling died Sunday November 3, 2024 at Heritage Woods in Sterling. Betty was born December 11, 1924 in Sterling the daughter of Karl and Winifred (Haines) Haak. She married Norval Zigler on October 23, 1946. He preceded her in death on April 20, 1987.

 Betty enjoyed bowling, and was an avid Cubs fan. Betty and Norval also lived in Columbus Ohio for several years before returning to Sterling. 

 Survivors include one son Kirby (Una Greene) Zigler; six grandchildren Josh (Alissa Kresl) Witmer, Brooke (Clayton Hubbard) Witmer, Jason Witmer, Preston (Michelle) Zigler, Lindsay Zigler, and Ali Rich; 13 great-grandchildren.

 She was also preceded in death by her parents; husband Norval; one son Jeff “Zman” Zigler; one daughter Cynthia Witmer; one sister Bernice Wiedel; two brothers Elwin Haak, and Lawrence Haak.

 Memorial service will be 11 AM Monday November 11, 2024 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling, with Pastor Grant Mulder of Bethel Reformed Church, officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10AM-11AM. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park in Sterling.
