CARL "DICK" RICHARD CRANE STERLING - Mr. Carl "Dick" Richard Crane, 75, died Sunday, April 25, 2010 at CGH Medical Center. Dick was a welder at Northwestern Steel & Wire Company before his retirement in 1999. Carl Richard Crane was born October 11, 1934 in Walnut, the son of Carl M. and Esther L. Bell Crane. He married Jeanne Mylin on August 6, 1965 in Rock Falls. Dick served in the United States Army in Germany for two years. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne; two daughters, Adrienne (John) Jelderks of Palos Heights, and Carla (Robert) Laszlo of Falls Church, VA; five grandchildren, Lauren, Nick, and Luke Jelderks, and Caroline and Catherine Laszlo. Graveside services will be 11 AM Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM Tuesday evening at the Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Happy Tails Humane Society.
