Carolyn Sue "Susie" Heckman

 Carolyn Sue “Susie” Heckman,82, of Sterling died Thursday December 19, 2024 at her home surrounded by family, after an extended illness. Carolyn was born October 6, 1942 in Vincence IL, the daughter of Rudolph and Beatrice (Barrett) Gordon. 

 Carolyn is survived by one son Rudy Heckman of Mobile AL; one daughter Randa (LaMar) Heckman Hughes of Sterling; grandchildren Rudy M. Kinney, Jenna L.R. Heckman of Sterling, Le’Roy L. Hughes Jr. of Rock Falls, Sa’Vonne Hughes of Albuquerque NM, and Jazmine (Marcus) Heckman Locklear of North Carolina; two great-grandsons Da’Vonte “Buddy” Heckman of Sterling and Daxton Kinney.

 She was preceded in death by her parents; seven siblings and one grandson. 

 Funeral services will be 1PM Friday December 27, 2024 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Merle Heckman, officiating. Visitation will be an hour and half before the funeral services from 11:30AM-1PM on Friday. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. 

 A memorial has been established.
