CONNIE ELAINE MITCHELL LOGANVILLE, GEORGIA-Connie Elaine Mitchell, 72, of Sterling, passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Loganville, Georgia. Connie was born on August 16, 1946 in Sedalia, Missouri, the daughter of Harold Cruise and Harriett Smith. After the passing of her mother Harriett, she was adopted by Louis and Princess Jackson, of Sterling. She graduated from Sterling High School and was a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church. Connie married Franklin Mitchell of Wichita, Kansas in February 1969 and had two children, Marvel and Michael. Connie was employed at Singer Mental Health Center in Rockford until her retirement in 2006. She loved spending time with her family, watching movies, paying card games, and going to church. Survivors include her two children, Marvel (Mitchell) Taylor, Lawrenceville, GA; Michael Mitchell, Sterling; son in law, Reggie Taylor, Lawrenceville, GA; grandchildren, Marcus Taylor, Jordan Mitchell, Isaiah Taylor, Janea Mitchell, and sister Donna Riley. A celebration of life will be held at 11 AM, Monday, February 18, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, with Pastor Johnny Cooper officiating. Visitation will be held from 10 AM - 11 AM, prior to services at the funeral home. Burial is at Riverside Cemetery. Repass will be held at Macedonia Baptist Church. A memorial has been established.
