Darris Neal

PEORIA AZ-It is with great sadness the family of Darris Eugene (Neal) Rowland announces his departure from this life to his heavenly home after a long illness on Sunday Oct 28, 2018 at the age of 68 years. Darris was born November 14, 1949 in Murphysboro, Illinois to Mary Alice (Neal) Nelson. He spent his early childhood years in Dixon and later moved to Sterling with his mother and his only sibling Walter “Butch” Neal. He was a graduate of Sterling High School. He was an employee of the Pepsi Cola Company for many years and later worked at Self Help in Sterling Illinois. He resided in Sterling Illinois until 2015 when he moved with his brother Butch Neal and Sister-in-law Kim Neal. There he spent the remainder of his years with them in Peoria, AZ. He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Nelson, four aunts and five uncles. Darris will be lovingly remembered by his brother Walter (Butch) Neal, Sister-in-Law Kim Neal of Peoria AZ. His Nephews Chris and Shawon Neal Of Portland Or, Jacob (Amanda) Neal of Des Plaines, IL. His only surviving Aunt Verna Jennings of Rockford IL. 1 Great Nephew Orion Neal and 2 Great nieces Mila and Ada Neal. Numerous Cousins and Dear Friends. A Celebration of Life will be 1PM on Saturday November 17, 2018 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, with visitation one hour prior to the memorial service from 12PM-1PM.
