David Hadley

STERLING- David L. Hadley, 95, of Sterling, died Friday, May 22, 2015. David was born on December 11, 1919, in Glen Elder, KS, the son of David H. and Olive (Marzolf) Hadley. He married Elizabeth (Betty) Woods in Rock Falls on June 11, 1941. She preceded him in death on October 1, 1998. David was an active farmer and a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Sterling. Survivors include four daughters, Mary Mender of Sterling, Helen Sellards, of New Bern, NC, Ruth Boettcher, of Marinette, WI, and April (Dave) Brose, of Whitsett, NC; one son, David E. (Carol) Hadley, of Rock Falls; one sister, Fernita Fisher, of Sterling; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, and one brother, George Hadley. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 10 AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Reverend Bob Hasselbring, of First Church of the Nazarene officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 26, 2015 from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home. A memorial has been established. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com
