Beulah Cardwell

Beulah Faye (“Duetchy” Smith) Cardwell, 86, of Rock Falls, passed away March 1, 2022 at Rock River Hospice and Home, after a lengthy illness.

Beulah was born on April 20, 1935 in Hardy, Arkansas. The daughter of William T. and Cory (King) Smith of Arkansas. She married Herbert H. Cardwell on October 25, 1958. She was employed at General Electric in Morrison for 25 years. During their years together, Herb and Beulah owned and ran several businesses in the area including Herb’s Tap and Cardwell’s W&D Tap, both in Rock Falls.

She was survived by her son, William (Michelle Davis) Cardwell; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Cardwell; six grandchildren, Dustin (Molly) Cardwell, Ryan Cardwell, Waylon Cardwell, Hayden Cardwell, Larissa Dale and Jerico Davis; five great-grandchildren, Leo Cardwell, Mia Cardwell, Abram Dale, Heleigh Dale and Lauren Dale.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert and son DeWayne Cardwell.

Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, March 4, 2022 from 5-7 PM at Cardwells W&D Tap, 219 1st Avenue, Rock Falls, IL. Burial will be at a later date at Coloma Township Cemetery, Rock Falls.
