George Hadley

GEORGE M. HADLEY POLO - George M. Hadley, 88, died Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at his home. He farmed in the Hazelhurst area for 52 years George was born April 2, 1923 in Glen Elder KS, the son of David and Olive (Marzolf) Hadley. He married Faye Gowan on June 13, 1943 in Rock Falls. He was a longtime member of First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling. Survivors include his wife, Faye; six daughters, Linda (Mark) Clark, of Richland Center, WI, Alice (Charles) Grimes, of Polo, Joy (Lyle) Maberry, of Ankney, IA, Peggy (Mickey) Powell, of Oro Valley, AZ, Polly (John) Ward, of Dixon, and Jane (Jeff) Lee, of Sylvania, OH; three sons, Dennis (Cathy) Hadley, of Milledgeville, Doug (Debbie) Hadley, of Dothan, AL, and Martin (Kaci) Hadley, of Sterling; one sister, Fernita Fisher, of Sterling; one brother, David Hadley, of Sterling; seventeen grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one grandson, Patrick Ward. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2011 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Bob Hasselbring of First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 6-8 PM, Friday, June 10, 2011 at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the First Church of the Nazarene in Sterling.
