Gilbert Scott

ROCK FALLS - Gilbert L. Scott, 83, of Rock Falls died Friday, February 5, 2021 at CGH Medical Center of Sterling. Gilbert was born April 27, 1937 in Sterling the son of Hallie and Hester (Quimby) Scott. He married Donna Shoffner on October 31, 1954. Gilbert spent 23 years as a custodian for Rock Falls Elementary School District #13 where he retired in June 2002. Survivors include his wife Donna; three sons, Dean (Roice), Gilbert W., Dennis (Lori); one daughter, Dianna; 21 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren; one great great grandson. Gilbert was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Bruce, Randy; daughter, Faith Ann; brother Lewis Morris; grandson, Daniel James Heather. Private services will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established and may be sent to Schilling Funeral Home P.O. Box 592 Sterling IL 61081, and will be forwarded to family.
