GINGER M. THOMAS ROCK FALLS - Ginger (Paschal) Thomas, 67, died Friday, June 10, 2011 at St. Mary's Hospice House, Bogart, GA. She was employed by the Sterling Post Office in Sterling, retiring in 2005, after 20 years of service. Ginger was born June 22, 1943 in Sterling, the daughter of Fay & Esther (Walters) Paschal. She lived her entire life in Rock Falls, graduated from RFHS in July, 1961. Ginger worked for many organizations such as General Electric, Community General Hospital, Wahl Clipper, Angelo's II, Insurance Sales, and most recently Sterling Post Office. Ginger was a member of the Sterling American Legion Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She enjoyed travelling, spending time with grandkids, knitting, reading and dancing. Survivors include, her children, Shelly Richardson, of Madison, GA, Mark Rude, of Mundelein and Todd Rude, of Knoxville, TN; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Emily and Tyler Richardson, JoLee Ludwig and Kody Rude; three sisters, Ramona Paschal, of Oregon, Bonnie Burkitt, of Rock Falls, and Janice Millhouse; one niece, Amanda Burkitt; two nephews, Michael and Colin Hurowitz; many friends and lots of cousins; and lifelong friends Maggie Jones and JoAnn Dunham. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Melodie Hemminger, and several aunts and uncles. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM on Friday, June 17, 2011 at the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be held from 5-8 on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Habitat for Humanity and Relay for Life of Rock Falls.
