Gloria Miller

STERLING- Gloria B. Miller, 80, of Sterling, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at CGH Medical Center. Gloria was born on January 2, 1935 in Hicksville, OH, the daughter of Herman and Pearl (Rumbaugh) Miller. She was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Sterling. She enjoyed camping, singing, cats, poetry, and raising Monarch Butterflies. She attended the Salvation Army Training College, and served several years in Kewanee. She became an LPN and worked for Dr. Flynn at KSB and Exceptional Care Center, prior to retirement. She was a member of Harvest Time Bible Church, Rock Falls and First Church of the Nazarene, Sterling. Survivors include one sister, Linda (Daniel) Franks, of Ypsilanti MI; two sister-in-laws, Doris Novak and Shirlene Miller and friends, Jane (Pastor Dalmus) Meeks, of Rock Falls and Dr. Charles Johnson of Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, Harold Miller and Herman Miller. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at 11 AM at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling, with Pastor Charles Johnson officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior from 10 AM to 11 AM. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling handled arrangements. A memorial has been established.
