Harold Adams

Harold Adams, 96, of Dixon died Thursday December 8, 2022 at his home. Harold was born September 15, 1926 the son of Frank and Johanna (Doescher) Adams. He married Dorothy Dettman in October of 1951. She preceded him in death on July 17, 1997.

Harold was a lifelong farmer in the Palmyra area. He enjoyed watching sports, and taking care of all his animals. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include one daughter Diane Pankhurst of Dixon; one son Dale (Betsy) Adams of Dixon; one sister Lois Lindgren of Minnesota; grandchildren Megan Adams of Dixon, Corey (Taylor) Pankhurst of Harrisburg PA, and Nik (Lysa) Pankhurst of Dixon; six great-grandchildren Adalynn, Hunter, Brantley, Emma, Jackson, and Carter.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; 11 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be 11 AM Wednesday December 14, 2022 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral from 10 AM-11 AM. Burial will follow at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
