Henrietta Sotelo

 Enriquetta “Henrietta” Sotelo, 82, of Sterling passed away Sunday February 23, 2025 at Heritage Woods surrounded by family. Henrietta was born December 26, 1942 in Palmetto, St. Landry’s Parish Louisiana the daughter of Jose and Guadalupe (Lara) Martinez. She married Lucio Sotelo, he preceded her in death on December 5, 1992.

 Survivors include daughters Guadalupe Galarza of Edna Oklahoma, Maria Lara of Sterling; one son Lucio (Heather) Sotelo Jr. of Sterling; nine grandchildren Natasha Galarza, Aldo Atilano, Joel Atilano, Eric Atilano, Sarah Sotelo, David Garcia, Crislon Garcia, Lucas Sotelo, and Alice Sotelo; three sisters Sophia Martinez, Fran Leal, and Teresa (Bill) Sotelo all of Sterling; one sister in law Mary Martinez.

 She was also preceded in death by her son Juan Miniel, parents, sister Rita Silva and brother Joe Martinez.

 Visitation will be from 5PM-7PM Tuesday February 25, 2025 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, Sterling. Mass of The Christian Burial will be 11AM Wednesday February 26, 2025 at St. Mary’s Church, with Father Carlos Monsalve, officiating. Burial will take place immediately following at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling.

 A memorial has been established.
