JACK WEINSTINE DEERFIELD - Jack Weinstine, 99, formerly of Sterling, died Tuesday, October 5, 2010 in Deerfield. He, along with his wife Tee, owned the Sterling Fashion Shop & Weinstine's Vogue for 48 years. Jack was born June 10, 1911 in Bialystock, Poland, the son of Max and Leah (Silverstein) Weinstine. He married Tee Saltzman in 1932 in Chicago. She preceded him in death on October 24, 1996. He moved to Palm Springs, CA in 1994. Jack was a member of Temple Sholom in Sterling and Temple Isaiah in Palm Springs, CA. He was past President of Sterling Noon Rotary Club, past President of the Sterling Chamber of Commerce and two time past Master of Rock River Lodge #612. He was also a member of Rock River Country Club, the Hole in One Club at the Rock River Country Club and Canyon Country Club in Palm Springs, CA. He was a past board member at CGH hospital and a Board Certified UCLA Orthopedic Specialist. Jack loved warm weather, dancing, golf and mostly his family. He was Hi-Boo to his granddaughters, Juli and Debbie. Survivors include one son, Lester (Phyllis) Weinstine, of Morrison; two granddaughters, Juli (Bruce) Shapiro, of Northbrook, and Debbie (Robert) Goldstein, of Highland Park; five great-grandchildren, Samantha, Mitch, and Teddy Shapiro, Matthew and Bradley Goldstein; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Schilling Funeral Home with Rabbi Steven Mason, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, Thursday at the Funeral Home, prior to services. A memorial has been established to the Hospice of the Rock River Valley.
