JANET M. YOUNG LAWRENCEBURG, IN - Janet M. Young, 94, formerly of Sterling, died peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, June 9, 2013 at Shady Nook Care Center in Lawrenceburg, IN. Janet was born July 22, 1918 in Chambersburg, PA, the daughter of Norman F. and Ida M. (Stumbaugh) Shatzer. She married Harold A. Young in May of 1938 in Haggertown, MD. He preceded her in death in October, 1980. Survivors include one daughter, Donna Tarbill of the Quad Cities; three grandchildren, Debra (Roger) Spaulding of Lawrenceburg, IN, David Tarbill and Tracy Tarbill, both of the Quad Cities; seven great-grandchildren, Brandon Henley, Alissa (Aaron) Cox, Allison (Leo) Gonzalez, Keisha, Nathan, Ryan and Kassandra Smith; four great-great-grandchildren, Ayden, Rowan and Lillian Henley and Saige Mae Cox. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Delores Mae Henley; a son, Harold E. Young; and a great-great-grandchild, Alanna Janet Henley. Graveside services will be held at 1 PM, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 11 AM-1 PM, Thursday, June 13, 2013 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.
