JANICE M. WILSON STERLING- Janice M. Wilson, 91, died Saturday February 7, 2007 at CGH Medical Center. Janice had been a piano and school teacher in the area for many years. Janice was born November 30, 1917 in Sterling the daughter of Harold and Matilda Weets Mathew of Round Grove and was a graduate of Morrison High School. She married Dwight Wilson on December 25, 1937 in Maquoketa, IA. He preceded her in death in November of 1993. Janice and her husband enjoyed golfing, fishing and traveling. Janice was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Sterling. She had been active in the church for many years as a Sunday School Teacher, Youth Choir Director and was one of the organizers of the church play school. She had also been an active member of the Whiteside County Genealogical Society and the Morrison Historical Society. Survivors include one daughter Judith Rowe of Sheridan, MI; one son Robert (Georgeann) Wilson of O'Fallon; four grandsons, Thomas Wilson, Paul Wilson, David (Rhonda) Rowe and Robert (Lindsay) Rowe; and two great-grandchildren Amanda and Luke Rowe. Graveside services will be 11 AM Wednesday February 11, 2009 at Grove Hill Cemetery in Morrison. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4 to 6 PM at Schilling Funeral Home. A Memorial has been established.
