Jean Tretteen

JEAN L. TRETTEEN STERLING-Jean L. Tretteen, 79, died Monday, March 23, 2009, at her residence. Prior to retirement she was employed at Exceptional Care as a teacher's aide. Jean was born June 17, 1929 in Sterling. The daughter of George and Lucille (Piece) Steltzer. She married Herman (Joe) Tretteen on October 17, 1947 in Sterling. He preceded her in death in 1993. Survivors include two sons, Dennis Tretteen of Sterling and Douglas Tretteen of Vienia; one sister, JoAnn Sutton of Rock Falls; one brother George Steltzer of Sabula, IA three grandchildren and one step-granddaughter. She was also preceded in death by one son Neil. Graveside services will be held at 10AM Friday, March 27, 2009 at Riverside Cemetery with Dalmus Meeks, pastor of Harvest Time Bible Church, officiating. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established. Arrangements were completed by the Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling.
