JEANNINE M. WILLIAMS STERLING - Jeannine M. Williams, 80, of Sterling, died Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria. Jeannine was born September 9, 1931 in Morrison, the daughter of Alfred and Evellyn (Argraves) Schwitters. She had fond memories of growing up on a farm and going to a one-room schoolhouse. Jeannine graduated from Sterling High School in 1949 and worked at Illinois Bell as a long distance operator. Two years later, she married Francis Williams on September 8, 1951 in Niles, MI. A year later, Adele, the joy of her life, was born. Jeannine's heart belonged to god. She was a good mother and friend to all those she knew and loved, and she touched many lives. Jeannine was happiest in her home and garden. Survivors include her husband, Francis; one daughter, Adele M. (Larry) Schettler, of Sterling; one brother, Alfred (Joyce) Schwitters, of Cedar Rapids, IA; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Schilling Funeral Home with Reverend Bruce Ludeke of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, officiating. Burial will be at the Riverside Cemetery, Sterling. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm, Friday, June 22, 2012 at the Funeral Home. A memorial has been established.
