Jennifer "Jenny" Hackbarth

   Jennifer “Jenny” Hackbarth, 74, of Milledgeville passed away Tuesday April 15, 2025 at Morningside Of Sterling. Jenny was born November 1, 1950 in Fairbanks Alaska the daughter of Floyd and Catherine (Federly) Snider. She married Carl Hackbarth on November 30, 1984 in Sterling.

   Jenny graduated from Newman in 1968. She worked at Self Help for over 30 years, and enjoyed donating her time to clients from Self Help who participated in Special Olympics. Jenny enjoyed sewing, was an avid Cubs fan, shopping, going to antique gas engine and tractor shows with Carl, and travelling to the Wisconsin Dells in the fall for the Fall Festival. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. Above all she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.

   Survivors include her husband Carl; two sons Shaun (Cheryl) Chapman of Yuma AZ, Tyke (Julie) Hackbarth of Milledgeville; two daughters Kori (Bill) Dean of Rock Falls, Amanda (Charles) Larry of Rock Falls; one brother Steve (Becky) Snider of Aurora CO; two sisters Karen Talley of Rockford, and Linda (Mike) Whitenton of Rapid City SD; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

   Jenny was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Greg Snider.

   Funeral services will be 11AM Tuesday April 22, 2025 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. Visitiation will be one hour prior to the services from 10AM-11AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at South Elkhorn Cemetery in Milledgeville.

   A memorial has been established to Morningside of Sterling.
