Joann English

 Joann D. English, 85, of Sterling passed away Thursday January 16, 2025 at home surrounded by her family. Joann was born March 30, 1939 in Ellsinore, MO the daughter of Thomas Matthew and Elsie (Stoker) Walton. She married Leroy English on July 15, 1956 in Mississippi. 

   Joann's biggest love was for her children and grandchildren, always putting their needs before her own. She will be tremendously missed and loved always.

 Survivors include one daughter Amy (James) Stoeckel of Dixon; two sons Jerry English, and David (Jackie) English; siblings Wanda Joyce, Clinton Walton,  Melvin Walton, and special brother-in-law Melvin Callow. Grandchildren Lucas (Melanie) English, Kellen (Samantha) English, Alexander Leatherman, Spencer (Holly) Leatherman, Anthony (Angel) Conwell, Daniel Stoeckel, David (Tonya) Stoeckel, Danyelle (Joey) Cantrell, Michael (Lindsey) English and Tyler English; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild, and many wonderful nieces and nephews. 

 Joann was preceded in death by her husband Leroy; infant son Daniel English; siblings Matthew, John, Albert, Cinderella, Amanda, Waltie, George & Geneva and Brenda.

 Cremation rites have been entrusted to Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation.
