John J. Juarez

John J. Juarez Jr., 81, of Rock Falls died Tuesday April 2, 2024 at home surrounded by family. John was born February 24, 1943 in Savanna IL the son of Juan J. Juarez Sr. and Joanna (De Avila) Juarez. He married Hope Caudillo on July 10, 1965 in Sterling. She preceded him in death on February 12, 2007.


Survivors include one daughter Johanna (Rob) Wagner; three sons James (Elizabeth) Juarez, John (Nichole G.) Juarez II, Joseph (Toby) Juarez; three brothers Marvin “Tony” Juarez, Felix “Bill” Juarez, Paul (Barbara) Juarez; six sisters Mary Louise Carrillo, Madeline Carrillo, Anita “Judy” Orosco, Carmen Gonzales, Suzie (Mike) Guevara, and Yolanda (Dan) Hernandez; Several grand-children and great-grandchildren.


John was also preceded in death by his parents; one son Brian K. Caudillo; one granddaughter Madonna Caudillo; one sister Millie Metzler.


Visitation will be 9AM-11AM Saturday April 13, 2024 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation, in Sterling. Funeral services will follow at 11AM, and burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery, Sterling IL.


A memorial has been established to purchase a bench and plaque at the lower dam in Rock Falls.
