STERLING- Juanita Frances Amesquita, 87, of Sterling died Friday December 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by family. Juanita was born August 21, 1933 in Dixon the daughter of Praxedis and Theresa (Paramo) Moreno. She married Louis Amesquita on February 14, 1959 in Sterling. Survivors include her husband Louis; two daughters Victoria (Todd) Banks of North Aurora and Janelle (Miles) Ramirez of San Diego; one son, Mark Amesquita of St. Charles, MO; one brother, Joseph (Carolyn) Moreno; four grandchildren, Jon (Candace) Amesquita, Emily Amesquita, Claire Banks and Luke Banks; two great-grandchildren, James Amesquita and Evelyn Amesquita; many nieces and nephews including the Gallardo family; and special caretaker Oluchi Edmund. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Elvira Delgado, Mary Barajas, Annie Cervantes and Eleanor Carrasco and three brothers, King, Proco and Sam Moreno. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday December 11, 2020 St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling with Reverend James Keenan, officiating. Mass will be live streamed via Schilling Funeral Home's Facebook page. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Sterling, immediately following services. Visitation will be 4PM-6PM on Thursday December 10, 2020 at Schilling Funeral Home in Sterling. Due to Covid-19 restrictions a limit of 10 people at a time will be permitted in the building during visitation hours, masks and social distancing will be required. A memorial has been established and may also be sent to Schilling Funeral Home, PO Box 592, Sterling, IL 61081 and will be forwarded to the family.
