Judith Mills, 80, of Rock Falls died Monday January 29, 2024 at Rock River Hospice & Home in Sterling. Judith was born October 2, 1943 the daughter of Wilmer and Lorraine (Walsh) Fullgraf.
The lady of many titles, her favorite being mom, grandma, and great grandma. To most she was known as the skating rink lady, owner of Twilight skating rink/Sterling Roller Dome from 1975 to 1992, McDonald lady, or more famously as the funnel cake lady. R gang concessions could be spotted all around at the fairs and festivals spreading love and stickiness from her funnel cakes, elephant ears and sweet lemonade shake ups. Judith was an active member and volunteered many hours at the Sterling Moose Lodge. They were family to her. She was also proud to be a Gold star member of the American Legion.
Survivors include two daughters Dawn (Tom) Nielsen of Rock Falls, and Jennifer (Matt) Goken of Sterling; one son Dennis Mills; six grandchildren Ryan Mills, Ashley Mills, Kyle Cooper, Nichole Nielsen, Tori Nielsen, and Jaden Nielsen; and eleven great-grandchildren Keelie, Alexander, Skylur, Raleigh, Weston, Adrianna, Brayden, Alexis, Aliviah, and Layla.
Judith was preceded in death by her parents Wilmer and Lorraine Fullgraf.
Visitation will be 10AM-12PM Saturday February 3, 2024 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation in Sterling. Funeral services will start at 12PM noon at the funeral home with Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Cremation will take place after the service and burial will be at a later date.
A memorial has been established.
