Katherine Nadine Moore

Katherine Nadine Moore, 94, of Sterling, died Thursday, January 23, 2025 at CGH Medical Center, Sterling.

Katherine was born November 20, 1930 to Benjamin and Margaret (Gates) Smith. She married James Moore in 1983. He preceded her in death on July 24, 2014. Nadine loved quilting, playing cards, camping and going to garage sales. She also enjoyed flower gardens, planting flowers and her orchids. She was known to her grandchildren as “Grandma Sweetheart”.

Survivors include two daughters, Donna Moore of Albuquerque, NM and Debra Rios of Rock Falls; three sons, William Kaecker of Harmon, Keith (Arly) Kaecker of Franklin Grove and Kevin (Emma) Kaecker of Rock Falls; one sister Georgia Frane of OR; fifteen grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, many great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gerald and Ben; daughter-in-law, Glenda “Sis” Kaecker; one granddaughter; two grandsons; one great-grandchild and one great-great-grandson

Graveside services will be held at 1PM Friday, April 25, 2025 at Franklin Grove Cemetery. Memorial lunchoen will follow at Campground Game Room 1127 East River Road, Dixon IL 61021.
