Kathleen Marsh

STERLING- Kathleen Lavonne Helms Marsh passed away peacefully surrounded by her family and best friend Sandy, on Thursday, April 23, 2015. Kathy was born in Sterling, on November 30, 1950, to Walt and Lorraine Helms. She married Robert L. Marsh on September 16, 1972. She had two sons, Trent and Erik, and three step-daughters, Karlene, Tracy, and Wendy. Kathy loved all her children and their families very much. Kathy adored her daughter-in-law, Maria Marsh and friend, Shannon Smith. Trent and Maria have three children, Evan, Anna, and Madeline; Erik has a daughter, Kortny; Karlene and Eric Knisley have two sons, Dylan and Logan; Tracy and Jeff Eastman have two children, Breanna and Zachary; Wendy and Lincoln LaFayette have three children, Jordan, Kyle, and Kaitlyn. Kathy’s greatest joys were her children and grandchildren. Kathy was an avid bowler and enjoyed her career at Wahl Clipper. For the past 7 years, Kathy and Bob wintered in Ellenton, FL, where she enjoyed warmth, penny slots, and bingo. For many years, Kathy had a card club with several of her girlfriends. She loved Roxy, her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. She is survived by her loving husband, Robert; children and grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Engvoldsen, and Lori Chapman; brothers and sister-in-laws, Jeri and Gene Froeliger, Jeff and Shannon Marsh, and Scott and Kim Marsh; and many nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind best friends, Sandy DeWolf, Karen Shumaker, and Lorraine Wahl. She is preceded by her parents, and sister Jeannine. Celebration of life will be held Sunday April 26, 2015 at Schilling Funeral Home, From 11AM to 1PM. Burial will take place at a later date. A memorial has been established.
