Leta Wolfe

STERLING-Leta M. Wolfe, 97, of Sterling, died Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Regency Care of Sterling. Leta was born May 10, 1920 in Morrison, the daughter of William and Jennie (Taylor) Frankfother. She married Eugene Wolfe on August 30, 1940 in Clinton, IA. He preceded her in death in November 2003. She was a member of Rock Falls United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary. Survivors include one daughter, Janis (Bernard) McCartney of Roy, WA; four sons, Craig (Susan) Wolfe of Rock Falls, Phillip Wolfe of FL, Calvin Wolfe of Dallas, GA, and Jerrold (Earlene) Wolfe; two sisters, Daisy (Jack) Linker, and Mary Lou Meyer, all of Sterling; one brother, Duane Frankfother of Lasalle Peru; eleven grandchildren and twenty-three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; four sisters Vivian Tegeler, Betty Senese, Eleanor Harding, and Fern Bramm; one brother Wilbur Frankfother. Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Monday, April 30, 2018 at Schilling Funeral Home & Cremation with Reverend Solomon Sudhakar, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling. Visitation will be from 9-10:45 AM Monday, prior to services at the funeral home.
