Alexandria “Lexie” N. Perry, 20, of Sterling passed away Friday November 4, 2022 at her home.Lexie was born April 12, 2002 in Sterling the daughter of David Perry and Kathy (Mauricio) Sotelo.
Survivors include her mother Kathy (Mauricio) Sotelo; one brother Isaac Sotelo; maternal grandparents Harrel “Butch” (Ruby) Miller; paternal grandparents William (Teresa) Sotelo; two aunts Kim (Aaron) Hammelman, and Selina (Monte) Yarbrough; two uncles Andre Sotelo, and Alex (Jennifer) Sotelo. Lexie was a 2020 graduate of Sterling High School where she played the tenor saxophone in the SHS band, sang in the choir and participated in the musicals “Footloose” and “Sister Act”. She enjoyed painting, singing, listening to music, and participated in the Sauk Valley Community College production of “Macbeth” last fall. She also loved all things related to “ Nightmare Before Christmas” and all things “spooky.” She worked at Rockin Nutrition & Wellness in Dixon., IL and regularly attended Drumfit classes there. Lexie was an active member of Messiah and sang in the church choir and helped out with fellowship
Lexie was preceded in death by her father David Perry; and paternal grandparents Creighton (Betty) Perry.
Funeral services will be 10 AM Friday November 11, 2022 at Messiah Lutheran Church in Sterling. Visitation will be 4PM-7PM Thursday November 10, 2022 at Schilling Funeral Home, Sterling. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery immediately following the funeral.
A memorial has been established.
