Sterling-G. Louise Dahlquist, 99, of Sterling went to her heavenly home, August 4, 2022.
Louise was born July 5, 1923 in Rockford. She married Neil Dahlquist on May 8, 1943. She’s the daughter of Ruth and Philip (Matthew) Aldrich.
Louise was a dedicated member of Harvest Time Bible Church, singing in the choir and faithfully serving. She was passionate about introducing others to Jesus. Her relationship with him was the foundation of her life.
She enjoyed her family and cherished her many grandchildren.
She volunteered at CGH Hospital for 9 ½ years as a pink lady, which she enjoyed. She also volunteered at the senior center.
Survivors include two daughters, Diana Brewster of Colorado Spring, CO and Shirley (Harold) Smith of Sterling; seventeen grandchildren; forty-five great-grandchildren and eighteen great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Neil in 1992; one sister, Darlene Bryant; two sons, Carl and Gene; two grandsons, David Gene and Philip; great grandson Zander and great-granddaughter, Haley.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Saturday, August 20, 2022 at Harvest Time Bible Church with Dalmus Meeks, officiating. Visitation will be from 10-11 AM, prior to services. Burial will take place at Oak Knoll Memorial Park, Sterling.
A memorial has been established to Avonlea Cottages of Sterling.
