Louise “Becky” F. Marsh, 91, died Friday, April 1, 2016 at Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon. She worked for Bergner’s for eighteen years until her retirement in 1989. Becky was born September 11, 1924 in Sterling, the daughter of Frank and Florence (Cassens) Beck. She married Kenneth Marsh on April 19, 1944 in Dixon. He preceded her in death on April 5, 1998. She was a member of the Ladies of the Elk Club, Rock Falls Women’s Club, Ladies of the Moose, volunteer at CGH Medical Center, member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Sterling and St. John’s Church Circle. Survivors include one daughter, Jeri (Gene) Froeliger of Sterling; three sons, Robert Marsh of Ellenton FL, Jeff (Sharon) Marsh of Sterling and Scott (Kim) Marsh of Byron; one sister, Barb (Donald) Doty of Manito; one brother, Earl Beck of Rock Falls; nine grandchildren, Jared (Jessica) Marsh, Joshua Marsh, Michelle (Chuck) Musgrove, Brett (Gina) Froeliger, Karlene (Eric) Knisley, Tracy (Jeff) Eastman, Wendy (Lincoln) LaFayette, Trent (Maria) Marsh and Erik Marsh; fourteen great-grandchildren Amanda Stark, Hayden Froeliger, Wil Froeliger and Jude Froeliger, Dylan Knisley, Logan Knisley, Breanna Eastman, Zachery Eastman, Kaitlyn LaFayette, Kyle LaFayette, Evan Marsh, Anna Marsh, Madeline Marsh and Kortny Marsh. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beverly Randall and Pat Hinrichs; three brothers, David Beck, Kenneth Beck and John Beck; one daughter-in-law, Kathy Marsh; one granddaughter, Kim Froeliger-Frieberg and one great-granddaughter, Peyton Frieberg. Funeral services will be private. A memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice and Home, Oregon. Condolences may be sent to www.schillingfuneralhome.com.
