MARGERY L. PETTORINI STERLING �" Margery L. Pettorini, 90 died Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at Coventry Living Center. Margery Helms Pettorini was born in Wetonka, South Dakota, the fourth child and only daughter of Henry and Verna (Mulnix) Helms. She married Rigo Pettorini in 1939. During her lifetime she was part owner and worked in the restaurant business, had a beauty shop in her home, and was an LPN at Community General Hospital. In addition to raising three children, she was an avid reader, puzzle solver and a fine cook. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Alter and Rosary Society, The National Catholic Society of Forresters and the Sterling Women's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband Rigo, a grandson, Ben Williams and six brothers. Surviving are her children; Judith Cassens of Sterling, Roger (Dianna) Pettorini of Normal; and Elaine (Mike) Williams of Cantonment, FL; five grandchildren; Marc Cassens, Matt Cassens, Mike Pettorini, Jennifer Craft and Lesley Whaley; thirteen great grandchildren and one great- great grandchild; two half brothers; Max Johnson and Bill Johnson. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 12:00 Noon Saturday, January 10, 2009 at St. Mary Catholic Church, Sterling, with Reverend Donald M. Ahles, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery. Visitation is from 5:00 �" 7:00 PM, Friday at the Schilling Funeral Home. A memorial has been established to the Central Food Bank.
