Marilyn Ridley

Marilyn Ridley NILES- Marilyn Ridley 75, of Niles, formerly of Sterling, died, Monday, April 15, 2019 at Spectrum Hospital at Lakeland of Niles. Marilyn was the daughter of Reverend Cecil (Helen) Lockard. She married Frank Ridley in Rock Falls on August 26, 1978. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1989. Marilyn was a music and band teacher graduating from Southern Illinois University and later an insurance broker specializing in senior issues. She was an avid sports fan, and her favorite teams were the Cubs and the Bears. She is survived by two step-sons, Jim (Jean) Ridley of Morrison, and Tom Ridley of UT; eight step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren; and one special friend, Fredda Zeiter of Niles MI. She is preceded in death by her parents; and two step-sons Richard and Gene Ridley. A Memorial Service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 at Schilling Funeral Home and Cremation, Sterling. Visitation will take place from 10AM-11AM one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will take place at a later date. Cremation Rites have been accorded. A memorial has been established.
