Marion Nunemaker

MARION G. NUNEMAKER STERLING-Marion G. Nunemaker, 97, of Sterling died Tuesday, May 9, 2017 at Avonlea Cottages of Sterling. Marion was born June 6, 1919 in Buda, the daughter of William and Anna (Hartzler) Eigsti. She married Weldon Nunemaker on June 8, 1947 in Buda. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2001. Survivors include one daughter, Carol (Ivan) Shank of Sterling; one son, Dale (Barbara) Nunemaker of Bloomington; three grandchildren Rebecca (Rob) Nanney of Glenview, Crystal Shank of York PA, and Carmen (Ryan) Franks of Shaker Heights OH; three great-grandchildren Jack, James, and Julia Nanney. She was also preceded in death by three brothers, Walter, Howard, and Joseph Eigsti. Marion was a quiet and caring person, grounded in a deep faith in her God. Her family was her priority. Private graveside service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. A memorial will be established to World Relief Association, Mennonite Central Committee, (MCC).
